Chicago’s beloved tradition of dying the river green since 1962 was cancelled last weekend due to COVID-19 crowd concerns. However, the North Branch part of the Chicago River, upstream from the river’s junction with the North Shore Channel, did appear green yesterday. Not the usual dark green, that bright St. Patrick’s day green we normally see this time every year. Leprechaun magic, possibly? Click HERE to see a picture.
