The headline is slightly misleading but couldn’t resist the play on one of Bon Jovi’s other song titles. There is a group sing-a-long event on Facebook encouraging everyone in Chicago to open their windows and belt out “Living On A Prayer” this evening (Saturday, March 21) 7pm.

This idea was inspired by the viral videos of Italians singing from their balconies amid their ongoing lockdown. We do not have a lockdown in Chicago but all of Illinois has an order to “shelter in place” until April 7 beginning today at 5pm. As we do our best to slow the spread of COVID-19 by self distancing this window sing-a-long will certainly lift our spirits!
