The last major summer event hold-outs have finally been called off for 2020. Lollapalooza, Taste of Chicago, the Air and Water Show and the Chicago Jazz Festival have all been officially canceled by the City of Chicago. The decision comes as Chicago begins to enter Phase 3, of coming back from COVID-19, which still restricts massive events and gatherings.

But, all is not doom and gloom: The event organizers of these fest are still trying to give the people something to celebrate. Lollapalooza will be turned into a virtual event that will take place the week the massive concert festival was set for. For the foodies, the Taste of Chicago event organizers are looking to put on a food truck procession and online cooking demos. So, Summer 2020 hasn’t been canceled entirely…
