Florida has lots of natural wildlife… but kangaroos are not included on that list! Fort Lauderdale Police officers recently responded to a call of a kangaroo hopping around the area of North Andrews Avenue. Officers were able to wrangle the kangaroo by putting a dog leash around its neck before guiding it into the back of a patrol car.

An officer said, “He didn’t resist. I actually was expecting to get kicked but he was very friendly and didn’t do anything.” The marsupial is now in the custody of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, who are investigating.
