How would you like to go to Soldier Field and cheer, “Go Chicago’s Football Team!!”? Well, Washington NFL fans will soon know what that’s like. The team formerly known as The Washington Red Skins have officially changed their name to The Washington Football Team.
The name is only temporary, but the team will be selling merchandise with the name, “Washington Football Team,” on the NFL Shop.
The previous team name was around for 87 years before being retired last week.
