Google to keep most employees working from home through NEXT JUNE

Google apparently doesn’t believe the coronavirus is going away anytime soon, with CEO Sundar Pichai issuing a remote-work order Monday (July 27th) for most of its 200,000 employees and contractors to continue to work from home through next June, nearly a year from now.

It was a six-month extension of Google’s previous plan to have everyone work from home through the end of this year. Google had originally planned to have a significant number of employees begin returning to its headquarters in Mountain View, California, this summer, but the date got pushed back, and now pushed back again, as the virus kept spreading.
