Weird Chicago news for 2020 was seen by many who spotted local horseback rider, the “Dreadhead Cowboy” ride his horse on the Dan Ryan expressway on Tuesday. Escorted by motorcycles, 33-year-old Adam Hollingsworth was protesting to draw attention to Chicago youth being killed by gun violence.
Hollingsworth was arrested for reckless conduct, disobeying a police officer, criminal trespass, obstruction of traffic and is now being charged with animal cruelty against his 7-year-old horse, Nunu.
In July Mayor Lori Lightfoot recruited Hollingsworth to help get Chicagoans to participate in the 2020 Census.
