Most 11-year-old boys try to miss the bus, but this one stole one. Baton Rouge, Louisiana police say the boy stole a school bus and led several vehicles on a 45-minute chase. The child was so short he couldn’t reach the gas pedal without standing up.
Police say the Sunday morning, October 11th, chase ended when the bus ran off the street and smashed into a tree. The boy wasn’t hurt, but the driver of one of the vehicles he hit had a minor injury. The bus was taken from the parking lot of the Progress Head Start Center in Baton Rouge, police say they don’t know how the boy got the keys. He faces several charges, including vehicle theft.
