Paintball is a really fun sport, but normally when you’re playing, you have on goggles and protective head gear. That’s not the case for your average pedestrian. Yet, someone is firing on Chicagoans anyway. There have been a rash of paintball attacks occurring around college campuses. And several of these attacks have resulted in eye injuries.
One doctor told NBC 5 News that these injuries are serious and can result in permanent damage. Dr. Hassan Shah said when asked about the eye injuries from paintballs, “it’s very likely that many people with this injury would not recover much vision.”
Police are looking for the perpetrators now. In the meantime, be aware and keep safe!
