The “Fast & Furious” franchise is coming to an end

The “Fast & Furious” movies have been draws to theaters for almost 20 years… but it’s coming to an end!

“Variety” says Universal is ending the franchise after two more movies, the 10th and the 11th.  But there will actually be THREE more . . . because the ninth movie, “F9”, has been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Check out the trailer where we meet Dom’s BROTHER!!

Justin Lin will direct the last two.  He also did the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth movies, plus “F9”, which is scheduled to come out on May 28th of next year.  There are no other details on the 10th and 11th movies.

This may be crushing news to “Fast & Furious” super-fans, but this is only for the core series.  The “Fast & Furious” cinematic universe will continue through spin-offs, and there are already some in the works.  I can’t wait for Hobbs and Shaw 2!!
