Listen to Van Halen perform at one their very first shows

I’m still reeling from the passing of Eddie Van Halen last month. I’ve seen many concerts over the years and no one could ever compare to his style, expertise, energy and creativity on stage.

Even the greatest guitar player has to get his start somewhere. The first few Van Halen shows were at house parties and at their high school. A soundboard recording from one of their earliest shows at Pasadena High School back in 1975 just found its way to the internet and it is AMAZING. EVH clearly was unbelievably talented at a very young age. Take a listen.

Set List:

  2. Maybe I’m A Leo

  4. And We All Had A Real Good Time

  8. Live With Fools
