Happy Birthday Meg Ryan!! — Here’s 5 movies to celebrate with

Actress Meg Ryan celebrates her birthday today and we’re celebrating here for a list of movies you can fill your day with starring the acclaimed actress.  In no particular order, here’s 5 movies you could revisit or watch for the first time starring the acclaimed actress.

Sleepless In Seattle (1993) – Arguably Meg Ryan’s best, the film paired Ryan with Tom Hanks for this unforgettable romantic comedy.  The two find each other through the medium of RADIO!!  Watch it today or save it for Valentine’s Day with your special someone; you’re welcome!

When Harry Met Sally… (1989) – “I’ll have what she’s having!”  So many classic lines and moments come from this Rob Reiner-directed romantic comedy about two people people who don’t fall in love the first or second time they come together in each other’s lives…  Starring Ryan and Billy Crystal, this movie will have you laughing from start to finish and maybe crying a little bit too.

The Shout Factory released this trailer in promotion of their 30th anniversary release of the film.  Check it out!

You’ve Got Mail (1998) – A spiritual successor to, “Sleepless in Seattle,” this time Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks meet blindly through email instead of radio.  These two star-crossed strangers already know one another through a rivalry between two bookstores.  Will they butt heads or find love when they finally meet the person on the other end of those emails?  Watch the movie and find out!

Top Gun (1986) – If romance isn’t your thing, how about action in the skies?!  While Meg Ryan is not the love interest of star Tom Cruise in this film, she plays the role of the ill-fated LTJG Nick “Goose” Bradshaw.  Meg Ryan is set to return for the upcoming sequel, Top Gun: Maverick reprising her role.

Proof of Life (2000) – Sticking with action with this thrilling Meg Ryan/Russel Crowe-lead film.  We see the two paired up in this hostage situation gone wrong.

Honorable MentionsAnastasia (1997), Armed and Dangerous (1986), I.Q. (1994).
