After 45 years, the Macy’s flagship store on Michigan Avenue at Water Tower Place is closing. Currently, no new department store is set to fill the vacancy.
In the mean time for 8 to 12 weeks, the downtown department store will hold a clearance sale as they attempt to vacate the premises.
Many businesses along the Mag Mile have been struggling to stay open through the pandemic and this Macy’s location just adds another gap along the iconic shopping route.
