Def Leppard fans are in for a treat with the newly launched Def Leppard Vault. The contents of the vault have been personally selected by the band members — Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, Vivian Campbell, Rick Allen, Rick Savage, who due to the ongoing pandemic, had a chance to mine their personal and group collections for the material now spotlighted in the virtual museum.

The Def Leppard Vault will serve as a constantly curated museum, “including special installations where fans can gather to see the band’s history from 1977 to now.” The site will frequently be updated with new and rare content.

Frontman Joe Elliott explained, “After months of digging through our personal rock and roll closets (and warehouses, no less!), we present you our history! Our historic vault will continually be updated with installments you may have seen with some gems I promise you’ve never heard or seen! It’s a true backstage pass for any Def Leppard or rock and roll fan! Please… step inside and walk this way!”

The various section feature “On The Road” spotlights photos, historical instruments, backstage passes, and tour itineraries. The band’s stage wear is showcased in “Jacket Required,” which features jackets and assorted attire from the band’s personal collection. “All I’ve Got Is A Photograph” includes original promotional images. Also included is a track-by-track retrospective in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their first greatest hits album, Vault, featuring audio and video commentary courtesy of all five members.

In the video preview for the set, Joe Elliott lists the vault including, “cassettes from back in the day, vinyl, press cuttings, CD’s of unreleased songs or rough ideas.” Fans can now sign up for entry via leppardvault.com.
