New Jersey man set fire to his lawn to get rid of snow and ice

Many across the U.S. are fed up with winter, but lighting your lawn on fire is not a good way to deal with it. Police in New Jersey responded on Friday, February 12th, to a man’s home in Midland Park after he set a small fire to try and melt the snow and ice outside his home.

The man, who police will not name, had poured a half-gallon of gasoline on a gravel 2-foot by 2-foot square section of his backyard. Once the fire department arrived, they used the Speedy Dry to sop up the gas.
