For people that live in Chicago, this may not even be a surprise. A report by INRIX ranked Chicago as the 3rd most traffic-congested city in the whole country.
But that’s not all: Chicago did come in at number 1 in one of the traffic metrics. Chicago has the WORST stretch of traffic in the entire nation is eastbound on the Eisenhower expressway. If you live in the west suburbs, you’re familiar with this stretch of road. Even worse: you’ve lost so much time having to drive into the city. According to the study, regular travelers of this highway from Hell spent an average of 56 hours of their 2019 stuck in traffic. This number did dip in 2020.
