Remember street fests? I do! And apparently, so does Chicago’s Alderman and they want them back! Yesterday, Wednesday 10th, a City Council Committee approves Chicago’s usual slate of festivals.
Unfortunately, this does not include The Taste of Chicago and The Air and Water Show due to a lack of funding in the cut budget.
Now, the fate of those other events does depend on future coronavirus numbers and whether or not the city can get funding for the fests and celebrations.
It’s one step closer to normal, but we have a long way to go!
