Unopened Super Mario Bros. game sells at auction for $660,000

An unopened copy of “Super Mario Brothers” from 1986 just sold at auction for $660,000.  The video game was reportedly bought as a Christmas gift but was tucked away in a desk drawer and forgotten.

Heritage Auctions of Dallas said it was the finest copy of Mario Brothers ever professionally graded for auction.

In comparison, a brand-new copy of the newest Super Mario Bros. game Super Mario Brothers: U Deluxe is priced at $59.99.
