ABC 7 Chicago reports a City of Chicago committee voted in favor of renaming part of Lake Shore Drive (from Hollywood Avenue to 67th Street) to Jean Baptiste Point du Sable Drive.  The proposed name change is meant to honor the founder of the settlement that eventually became the Chicago we know today.

The next step is for the full city council to vote in favor or against the name change.  Do we now have to say, “Just slippin’ on by on JBPdSD?”
