United Center and indoor venues can reopen, fests can return and restaurants and bars can increase capacity under new Chicago restrictions

Summer 2021 is promising to be WAY better than last summer!!  The City of Chicago is officially reducing a number of pandemic restrictions effective immediately.

What does this mean?..

Block Club Chicago elaborates on all the changes this summer but key ones include allowing almost 50% indoor capacity for Chicago bars and restaurants, the return of summer festivals and events and the reopening of large indoor venues.  Those events and venues will still not be able to permit 100% capacity, but seeing a return of indoor concert venues, sports and shows at the United Center and theaters is still GREAT to me!!

This all changes if the infection rate sparks again, so hopefully we can continue to see Covid cases drop and get out for some fun this summer!!
