An annual study by WalletHub just ranked the best states for a summer road trip and Illinois placed in the top 10!

The study looked at 33 different factors in three categories:  Cost, safety, and how many attractions or activities there are.  Like national parks, amusement parks, beaches, lakes, and scenic drives.

The ten best summer road trip states in 2021 are:

1. New York
2. Texas
3. Louisiana
4. Maine
5. North Carolina
6. Minnesota
7. Utah
8. Illinois
9. Michigan
10. Wisconsin

On the other end, the WORST states for road trips are:

1. Rhode Island
2. Delaware
3. Connecticut
4. Hawaii
5. Arkansas

I think it’s time for a summer road trip!!
