Chicago City Council vote YES for Lake Shore Drive name change

Chicago City Council has officially approved changing the name of Lake Shore Drive to, “Jean Baptiste Point Du Sable Lake Shore Drive.”

The name change honors Haitian settler Jean Baptiste Point DuSable who founded the territory know as Chicago today.

So technically, it’s still Lakeshore Drive… The official acronym will be, “JBPDSLSD.”
