This is the PERFECT time to celebrate the cities in America with the best barbecue!
The website LawnStarter.com put together a ranking of 199 cities based on how their barbecue stacks up in categories like restaurants, events, festivals, and quality.
Chicago came in second place! Only beaten by Kansas City, MO. Chicago was followed by Houston, Cincinnati, Memphis, Louisville, Kentucky, St. Louis, New York City, Minneapolis and Overland Park, Kansas.
Overland Park is only about 20 minutes from Kansas City, so the barbecue lovers there are really spoiled!
Oddly enough, you also don’t have to go very far for the worst barbecue city in the U.S. Aurora ranked dead last! One factor that really brought the suburb’s BBQ score down was it’s lowest median ratings for BBQ restaurants.
