FCC enacts do not disturb rules against robocalls

ANYTHING that prevents robocalls is a plus!  And this does!!

The FCC have enacted a, “STIR/SHAKEN caller identification framework,” which basically means phone companies can verify whether or not the calls you receive are coming from the same number and ID that shows up on your phone.  You’ve probably seen robocalls come from your town or a neighboring one that made you think the call is legitimate.  Now, phone companies will recognize when that’s not the case and enact a “Do not disturb” action on your phone, which labels the call as potential spam and silences your ring and even vibration.

So the next time you notice a missed call, labeled as spam, and you never even heard a ring, you now know why!
