Smash Mouth isn’t happy ‘All Star’ didn’t make Rolling Stones’ 500 Great Songs list

Rolling Stone updated their 500 Greatest Songs list for the first time in 17 years.  They placed artists like Aretha FrankinPublic Enemy and Sam Cooke at the top.  But one notable song missing from the full list of 500 was the arguably iconic and meme-able tune, All Star by Smash Mouth.

And no one seems to have noticed the exclusion more than the band themselves…

They took their Twitter proclamation further by even tagging writers that contributed to the list in their tweet’s comments.
