Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced Tuesday (January 11th) that she’d tested positive for Covid-19, tweeting, “I am experiencing cold-like symptoms but otherwise feel fine which I credit to being vaccinated and boosted. I will continue to work from home while following the CDC guidelines for isolation.”
The 59-year-old Lightfoot’s last public appearance had been a press conference the night before at which she announced deal with the teachers’ union allowing public school students to return to school after a week.
