Diamond made out of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing sold for $12,550 yesterday

You can really make a diamond out of just about anything…

It turns out, the people at Hidden Valley Ranch made their own diamond out of ranch dressing.  And they sold it on eBay yesterday to benefit the charity Feeding America, for a whopping $12,550!!

So, how’d they make it? They took ranch dressing, burned it in a 2,500-degree oven, kept it under 400 tons of pressure for two months, and turned it into a two-carat, man-made diamond.

The diamond has an inscription on it with the initials “HVR LVR”  for “Hidden Valley Ranch Lover.”

They came up with the idea after someone used a custom bottle of Hidden Valley Ranch to propose on Valentine’s Day last year.
