Four Burger King customers have filed a class-action lawsuit against the chain, claiming that they intentionally make their Whoppers 35% bigger in their advertising, compared to reality.  And they have specifics.

They claim BK started to “materially overstate the size of its burgers” in ads beginning in September of 2017, but the “amount of beef or ingredients contained in [the] Whopper has never changed.”

It’s not just the Whopper… they say they’ve also overstated the size of the Impossible Burger, the Big King, and the Bacon Double Cheeseburger, among others.

They’re asking for unspecified damages because they were “deceived.”  They’re also demanding that BK make their ads more realistic.

A Burger King spokesperson wouldn’t comment, saying they don’t talk about “pending or potential litigations.”
