No more pilot programs: the City of Chicago has officially laid out an e-scooter program that will kick off in spring…
4,000 electric scooters will be available to people throughout the city, provided by Divvy, Lime, Spin, and Superpedestrian. The scooters will be able to detect when driving on sidewalks and are programmed to stop, should that happen. Also, renters will be charged fees for not returning their scooters to docking stations. Rentals are charged by the minute.
Hopefully this curbs all the negatives we saw during the pilot programs…
