Anyone that’s ever watched a slapstick cartoon knows that dogs and postal workers are sworn enemies. The U.S. Postal Service released a list of the top cities where dog attacks against their workers took place most. Chicago made the top 10!

These aren’t low numbers: nearly 6,000 reported attacks of dogs against postal employees occur each year!

The Top 10 cities where this happens were…

1. Cleveland, OH — 58 attacks
2. Houston, TX — 54 attacks
3. Kansas City, MO — 48 attacks
4. Los Angeles, CA — 44 attacks
5. Louisville, KY — 42 attacks
6. Dallas, TX — 38 attacks
7. St. Louis, MO — 36 attacks
8. Chicago, IL — 35 attacks
9. Detroit, MI — 34 attacks
10. Philadelphia, PA — 32 attacks

Illinois also made the top 10, when it came to the states with the most dog-on-postal-worker attacks!
