Another class action lawsuit against a tech company for a social media app just resulted in a settlement that means more free money for Illinois Residents.

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois sued Snapchat‘s parent company for violating Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act by illegally collecting users’ biometric information without their consent. The lawsuit concluded with a $35 million settlement that will be shared with Illinois residents who used Snapchat Lenses or Filters from November 17th, 2015, through now.

If you’re one of those many who used these lenses and filters, you still have time to submit your name for the class action lawsuit. In fact, you have until November 5th to sign up. You can do that HERE.

Those who signed up for the Facebook class action lawsuit received $397 from the settlement. It won’t be that much for residents who sign up for the Snapchat lawsuit, but it’s still FREE MONEY!!
