Every year, as sort of a PSA, the Chicago Fire Department demonstrates why you shouldn’t fry a frozen turkey. Their demo includes a small fire and concludes with the message that you should let a turkey thaw before you try to fry it.

This year however something went wrong… actually the problem was, NOTHING went wrong!

During the demo, the frozen turkey didn’t catch fire. So, the CFD had to run to the grocery store and purchase another turkey to do the demo over again. This time, it worked!

To reiterate, DO NOT TRY TO FRY A FROZEN TURKEY WITHOUT LETTING IT THAW!!
