First baseman Jose Abreau has moved on from the Chicago White Sox. Abreau accepted a $60 million deal 3-year deal with the Houston Astros. The first baseman performed as the team’s best hitter since titans like Paul Konerko and Frank Thomas.

Next season, the White Sox will take on their former first baseman’s new team immediately when the Astros face off against the Sox in the 2023 MLB opener on March 30th.
