More than 20,000 CPS Students will get to design NASCAR helmets as part of STEM and Field Museum team up

NASCARs Chicago street race is coming this summer and in anticipation of the inaugural event, Chicago Public Schools and The Field Museum are presenting an opportunity for students to get involved.

NASCAR is teaming up with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and The Field Museum to make the race more educational. Drivers use STEM to win NASCAR races.

As part of this educational collab, more than 20,000 CPS students will get to design their own NASCAR helmets. Also, top-performing groups from CPS schools will get to participate in further NASCAR/STEAM events.
