Happy birthday to this Classic Hits Legend, Sir Rod Stewart!  Born Roderick David Stewart, the British Rocker kicked off his musical career back in 1961.  Throughout the 60’s he performed with bands: Jimmy Powell & the Five Dimensions, Steampacket, The Jeff Beck Group and Shotgun Express.  His solo career took off in the 1970’s, the same decade he also performed with The Faces.

Throughout the 70’s and 80’s Rod Stewart charted hit after hit.  His number 1 hits include, Maggie May/Reason To Believe, You Wear It Well, Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?, Sailing, I Don’t Want To Talk About It/First Cut Is The Deepest and Baby Jane.

Rod Stewart turns 73 today.  He will be performing several shows at Las Vegas’ Caesar’s Palace this summer.
