Say goodbye to Facebook’s ‘Trending’ news…

Facebook’s “Trending” section is getting 86’d as of next week.

According to Facebook’s head of news products, the section drove less than 1.5% of clicks to news publishers on average.

In his blog, Alex Hardiman adds, “over time people found the product to be less and less useful.”

Facebook does have something lined up to take its place called “Facebook Watch,” a section where users can watch live news coverage and weekly features.
