TheDailyMeal.com has scoured the U.S. in search of the best burgers this country can deliver. The food-lovers there complied their favorite 101 burgers and arranged them from really good to best. At number 1 again is Chicago’s own AuCheval.
The Daily Meal described this champion of sandwiches, stating, “The beauty of the burger served at Au Cheval lies in its simplicity: two patties (or three, if you order a “double”) of no-frills ground beef topped with Cheddar, Dijonnaise, and a few thin slices of pickles and served on a soft toasted bun from Chicago’s Z Baking. The patties are wonderfully crusty, and just about everything about this burger is perfect.”
While New York restaurants nearly dominated the upper tiers of the list, Kuman’s Corner also landed in the esteemed position of 16th best burger in America. The Daily Meal calls it “truly memorable.”
