The CDC is urging people to get their flu shots

At least 80,000 people died of the flu or flu complications in the U.S. last year, according to an estimate by the Centers for Disease Control. That is the highest number seen since the winter of 1976-1977. The CDC recommends getting a flu vaccine every fall because it will prevent the flu or, at worst case, lessen the symptoms of the illness.
