It looks like the billionaire former head of Starbucks may actually run for president, with ex-CEO Howard Schultz saying on CBS’ 60 Minutes yesterday (January 27th) that he’s “seriously considering” running in 2020. But despite describing himself as a lifelong Democrat, Schultz won’t be competing for the party’s nomination, saying instead that he will run as a, quote, “centrist independent,” in what would be a self-funded campaign.
