7-Eleven to start delivering to public ‘hot spots’

7-Eleven launched a delivery service yesterday (June 24th) that will bring almost anything they sell to more than 2,000 so-called “hot spots” in public places like parks and beaches, and the company believes it may eventually be able to deliver to 200,000 hot spots. Customers have to download 7-Eleven’s 7NOW app to find a hot spot nearby, and will pay a flat delivery fee of $3.99, with an extra $1.99 for orders under $15. 7-Eleven is promising an average wait time of 30 minutes. 7-Eleven’s public place delivery is expanding a service they began with delivery to homes last year.
