Drivers might want to hit the skip button on some holiday tunes while on the road. Research conducted by CSGOLuck found that music between 50 and 80 beats per minute puts the brain into a relaxed, focused state. However, songs with higher beats per minute can be a distraction.
According to the study, Ariana Grande’s “Last Christmas” is the most distracting for drivers at 206 beats per minute. Following behind are Nat King Cole’s “The Happiest Christmas Tree” and Bing Crosby’s “Mele Kalikimaka.”
On the other hand, the best holiday song to listen to while driving is Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” at 67 beats per minute. Bing Crosby’s “Silver Bells” and Brett Eldredge’s “A Holly Jolly Christmas” placed second and third on the list.
