Just because Navy Pier isn’t doing their fireworks show this year, doesn’t mean you have to go the holiday without colorful BOOMS!!

Navy Pier announced that they are skipping on their annual fireworks show AGAIN; this time because there’s not enough time to plan.

But, you can still get your fireworks fix in the suburbs this year.

Timeout Chicago released a list of 10 great suburban fireworks shows to see on the 4th.  Their top 5 include Downers Grove, Glen Ellyn, Lake Forest, Mount Prospect and Naperville.

Sorely missing from their is Itasca’s massive fireworks show.  This year, Itasca’s notable display is said to viewable from 2 miles away!!
