Yep, even goldfish can drive cars…

A team at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev conducted an experiment that placed a goldfish in a bowl of water with wheels on it to see if the fish could navigate the vehicle. This vehicle did not have a steering wheel, but rather was guided by the fish’s movements.

And, it worked! With some practice, the fish could actually travel in a straight line to food without crashing. AND when bumping into something, the goldfish actually backed the vehicle away from the obstruction to carry on getting around.
