It’s become a meme at this point for older people to say that Hollywood can’t come up with new ideas. But I really have to side with the neigh-sayers on this one.

Netflix released their first trailer for the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre film. It’s titled the same as the original, which is already annoying, to begin with. But, let’s get to the trailer…

Oh boy, that sucked, didn’t it? A young person has to team up with the now badass version of a woman who escaped Leatherface in the original movie while the movie monster goes and kills a bunch of people. Kind of sounds like a ripoff of the recent Halloween sequel/reboot movies.

Worst of all, when Leatherface raises his chainsaw to a bunch of onlookers with cellphones on a bus, one says, “Try anything and you’re canceled, bro.” Yeah, that’s what a real person and not a cartoon character would do.

This sucks. Whatever. If you want to check out this new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie, it hits Netflix on February 18th.
