Not long ago, the city of Chicago was being marketed to would-be visitors as, “Chicago, not in Chicago.” The very confusing phrase has been dropped, and now Mayor Lightfoot and the city are rolling out their newest slogan: “What we’re made of.”
So, what is Chicago made of? According to the new ad campaigns that are making their appearances at O’Hare and Midway Airports, we’re made of 26 public beaches and no sharks, we’re made of iconic museums and countless stands where you can get a Chicago-style hotdog. No mention of Chicago being made of Malort, so it’ll be up to residents to egg on out-of-towners to order that drink at the bar.
