GoodHire released a list of “2022’s Most Affordable Places To Live & Work In The US” and not surprisingly, Chicago didn’t make it into the top 10. However, Chicago was nowhere near the bottom… but one nearby city was.
Rockford was determined to be one of the 10 least affordable cities to live and work in. The study determined this through factors like wage growth, unemployment rate, homeowner and rental affordability, and job growth.
Peoria also was determined to be less affordable than Chicago but was nowhere close to Rockford on the list.
