Congrats, Illinois! The state took the number-two spot for the biggest sports betting markets.
Illinois was only behind New York, bringing in $565 million from gambling in the month of August.
The influx in sports bets comes from gambling apps being readily available on people’s smartphones. 94% of Illinois bets are done online.
