Who knew clams lived so long??
A quahog clam was found on the coast of Florida that was determined to be 214 years old. This would mean that it was born in the same year as Abraham Lincoln.
Because of this, the scientists that discovered and studied the clam named it ‘Aber-clam Lincoln.’
Clams live A LONG TIME: to give you perspective, the oldest quahog clam found was determined to have been born in the year 1499!!
