One of my favorite side hustles is hosting the Music Drives Us Foundation podcast talking to stars like Rick Springfield, Kiefer Sutherland, Lisa Loeb and more. It’s all about raising money to keep music programs alive in schools, which is super close to my heart.
I’m a Massachusetts guy, living with my awesome wife, Heidi, who’s also in the radio biz, and our furry little “daughter,” Ellie, the cat who basically runs the house. Heidi and I are total music and pop culture nerds. If there’s a concert in town, you’ll probably spot us there, singing along and soaking it all in. When we’re not out at a show, you might find me in the kitchen whipping up something tasty or parked on the couch binging Netflix—guilty pleasure, for sure! Back in 2012, I wrote a book called Heroes, Mentors, and Friends, diving into some thoughts on mindfulness and well-being—stuff that’s helped me stay grounded in this wild industry. Oh, and here’s a fun throwback: in 2001, I was the voice announcing the Navy Pier fireworks in Chicago. How cool is that?
