Chicago’s Old Post Office to house offices for 1,800 relocated Walgreens employees

The Old Post Office will soon be serving as headquarters to Walgreens.  1,300 employees from the current headquarters in Deerfield, plus an additional 500 from the former Carson Pirie Scott building on State Street, will be relocating to the iconic Chicago location late next year.  The pharmacy/convenient store giant will remodel the long-vacant space in what is projected to be an 800 million dollar project.  Now, we’ll finally know what’s going on in that building when we pass under it when entering The Loop.
